Babies in Chairs, Platforms, Speeding Trains

The RSS headline was bad enough, but I couldn't help it.  Luckily the Australian boy who was on the platform one minute, racing down the track the next, was unharmed except for a few facial grazes.  Unreal.  Poor Grandma - she'll not be trusted again.

Prince Andrew in the dark, I doubt that very much

This whole Fergie the Pathetic Stupid Little Aristo Woman rubbish is starting to grate.  Prince Andrew is famous for his money grabbing hideousness – there’s no way he didn’t know about this – it’s right up his street.  He’ll happily charter a plane to whizz off to Scotland, play golf for 7 hours and get a lift back having kept both plane and pilot waiting all day for him for £10,000 (not his money, ours), but he didn’t want a piece of this £500k his ex supposedly set up.  Bollocks.

Baby Sun Burnt at the Beach - 20%

This baby has 20% burns and must be in serious pain - a 5mth old on the beach with his parent on the hottest day of the year.  Doesn't everyone know that just because the beach is cooler, the sun is just as strong?  I went out for 30 minutes over the weekend with Bean - she was covered in factor 40 and fully clothed.  In her pushchair she wasn't exposed at all - is that too protective, or when it comes to the Sun, can you ever be?  It's hard not to judge the parents here - what were they thinking?!

Stolen Love

A Change of Tack                                                                                                     * For Today Only *

Normally I would rage, 'NEWS, this is NEWS now is it?' but I was saddened to hear that the Love Locks on the Pont des Arts footbridge over the Seine have all been nicked by, rumour has it, either the Town Hall - who only days ago threatened, but now of course deny - or some upset single people sick of all the overt statements of love, in the City of Love, no less. I thought they were lovely.  My money's on some silly art students missing the point.

Fighting Talk, and other Jackanories.

"Let me tell you what we're fighting for," the Tory leader said.

"We're not fighting Gordon Brown and Nick Clegg in this election.
"We're fighting poverty, we're fighting disadvantage, we're fighting blocked opportunity in our United Kingdom.
"We're fighting for people.

You're not fooling me, Moron. UNLESS you're fighting poverty, blocked opportunity and disadvantage by closing every single public school in the UK?

Didn't think so.
